I knew this, because...yes, I was there...but didn't hear it til much later with tapes (which as I've noted, I can hear myself yelling between songs...no, not "I know you RIDER!" or high pitched "Saint Stephen!").

Or at least that's my recollection...I also did NOT hear the Eleven (nor did most others that have discussed this).

The yr the Warriors won it all...just saw Rick Barry in a flashback to Charles Barkley's first playoff game...he was never well rec'd by the fans, but I assume he's proud of his two broadcasting kids...sorry, for the bball hijack.

Imagine how many championships could have been won if some players-that-won't-be-named hadn't choked on their pride and taken Barry up on his standing offer.

the Warriors actually won it all? Wow. I can't recall a time where they ever won anything. Of course I'm not a basketball fan. Wow what a rich time for the East Bay in sports then. A's, Raiders, and Warriors?

Right you are, J! By the way, hope all is well with family & new kid!

Yes, A's had kicked butt by then, and Raiders were about to finally break thru, two yrs later, and twice again (77, 80 & 84 or so? Can't recall...but three anyhow).
